Slowness
is a
series of photographs taken between 2017 and 2022. Photography often serves me
as a grounding and guiding practice. It directs my gaze to what is and has me
scavenge for intricacies within a given moment, allowing me to memorialize
details that would otherwise go unnoticed, forgotten, dismissed by a mind conditioned
to favour compressed and speedy exchange of information. These photographs are
records of my indulgence in slowness and the beautiful complexity of forms
interacting with time, space, and light.
